A family run italian restuarant that I visit often with my family. I went with my mother to have dinner. It is always dark inside and sometimes difficult to read the menu. I ordered mostacholi with meat sauce and it came with cream of chicken soup. While I was waiting for my food the waitress brought fresh hot bread to eat with oil and cheese. I love their bread! My soup was very good. The pasta was also good, it comes in very large portion and I had enough to bring home!

There are many brazilian steakhouse in the area including Texas De Brazil and Fogo De Chao but Brazzaz is my favorite. I love Brazzaz because they have the best pre-dinner buffet of all the brazilian steak houses. Texas De Brazil has a larger buffet but does not offer the quality of items offered at Brazzaz. My favorite buffet items at Brazzaz are the oysters, the sushi rolls are delicious and they have a large variety of sushi but my favorite food at Brazzaz buffet is the mushroom rissoto. This is the best risotto I have ever tasted! It cooked to perfection! I could eat an entire plate of it! Then the meat is served and they bring around different steaks and other meats for you to try. My favorites include the leg of lamb and the parmasean encrusted pork. These are both very delicious! They also bring mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, rice, black beans, and fried banana to the table. I love both the mashed potatoe and the fried banana. Brazzaz also serves a specialty drink to help digest your meal, this is called licor 43. ($7.50) I had one of these, they are very good. It really helps me to digest all of the rich meats that I had during my meal. For dessert I ordered the chocolate mousse ($9.50). I love the mousse and I order it every time I come to Brazzaz!!

Near the area of rush and division Gibson's Steakhouse is a well kept breakfast secret. Across the street at the pancake house you will find long lines and have to wait about 1 hour to be sat but at Gibson's you will walk right in and be sat immediately. Surprisingly compared to their expensive dinner menu, Gibson's breakfast menu is very affordable, not to mention delicious. On Sundays Gibson's opens at 10am. In the summer you can sit outside on the patio but since it is February I had to sit inside but I got to sit next to the window. The waitresses at Gibson's always provide exceptional service. They started me off with some fresh bread and butter. I ordered a hot chocolate ($3.50) and 2 eggs over easy with bacon and hashbrowns and on Sundays Gibson's serves a biscuit and gravy with any breakfast all for only $8.75. When comparing this price to near by breakfast places this is on the lower end. But the food at Gibson's is the best food around. Everything is always fresh, THe hashbrowns are delicious. THe eggs are just how I ordered them adn the biscuit and gravy is so good! I would recomend stopping in for breakfast at Gibson's any time you are in the neighborhood!

I took my grandpa out to lunch and he wanted to go to Steven's Family Restuarant. We were greeted upon walking in and seated. The waitress came to the table and told us the soup of the day and took our drink order. The waitress was very attentive and kept a good watch on our drinks. I had hot chocolate and water. My grandpa had coffee. I was not too excited about any of the menu items so I decided to try the Greek Chicken Pita. This pita came out and I thought that is not what I ordered! It looked like a giant salad plopped on top of a pita. It was very messy and difficult to eat. It tasted good and the pita was fresh. Overall a good lunch.

This was my second time going to Shaw's Crab house. It was very busy because it was valentine's day. I was seated near the bar. I just ordered water and looked over the menu. There was so much delicious food to choose from that it is very difficult to decide what to get. I decided to get the oyster's rockafeller ($12.99) for my starter. The oysters took awhile because it was so busy. The oysters were good but I prefer the oysters at Joe's. For my entree I ordered crab cakes and my guest ordered King Crab. The food took a very long time but it was worth the wait! THe crab cakes were good but the king crab was even better! I would highly recomend this restaurant. This visit the service was not as good as it was the first time I went but this is to be expected on valentine's day.

The pesto cavatappi came out and it was good. I prefer the pesto cavatapi at Noodle's & Company. The only problem was that the workers kept forgetting my chai tea I had to ask them three times. I realize that the workers were busy but they could have provided better service.

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. It was the night before valentine’s day so everywhere was crowded. A friend of mine made reservations at Buca Di Beppo for a group of 8 people. I walked into the restaurant and the hostess was rude and unhelpful. She told me that my group was waiting in the lounge. I walked around the entire restaurant and could not find them. About 15 minutes later I was able to reach my friends cell phone and she told me that she was seated at the pope table. The pope table is a very beautiful table with decorations of all the popes. Unfortunately service was horrible and the duration of the meal was incredibly long because of the slow waitress. The restaurant was actually cleared out before we paid our check. I realize that valentine’s weekend is a busy weekend but a restaurant should be able to prepare for this. I wrote the following letter to the restaurant to express my dissatisfaction:

To Whom it may Concern,
I am writing this to inform you of how dissatisfied I was with the service I received at your establishment on the night of Saturday, February 13, 2010. I had reservations at Buca Di Beppo for a group of eight people. The reservations were under the name Dawn Blasko and my group was seated at the pope table. The name of our main waitress was Breanne, although there was another man waiting on us as well. The waitress was extremely slow and even though we had two people serving us neither came to the table often. The appetizer order was taken very late and our drink order was not even taken until about thirty minutes after we sat down. The male server took our drink order and disappeared for at least another twenty minutes. Finally the drink order arrived at the table but only half the table was served drinks and the server forgot the rest of the drinks. When Breanne finally came back to our table to check on us we told her that we had been waiting for our drink order for about thirty minutes and only half of us got drinks. Breanne’s response was “I am aware of it.” I found this response incredibly rude. Not only did Breanne not apologize for the inconvenience of us waiting for drinks she also admitted to knowing that the drinks were taking forever but did not seem to care to take charge and fix the problem. If Breanne was aware that the drink order was late she should have taken responsibility and fixed the problem. Breanne did not even apologize for the drinks being late. Breanne was extremely slow about taking our meal order and when she finally took the order we did not see her again for a long time. Breanne did not come to check on us to see if we were satisfied with our food. Finally the male server returned with the drinks for the rest of the table, at this point we were almost finished with our meal. One man in our group ordered a Bud light from the male server and did not receive it so ordered a bud light from Breanne. Breanne and the male server brought out two bud lights at the same time, which was about an hour after the first bud light had been ordered. It seems common sense that no one wants two beers sitting in front of them because one beer will get warm. The man in our group told Breanne that he did not want two beers. Breanne replied that he placed an order with both her and the male server so he gets two beers. But he only ordered the beer from two servers because he did not think the male server was returning since we had not seen the male server for about 45 minutes. Breanne then proceeded to argue with the man in our group that he must take both beers because he ordered two. This was rude of Breanne and not the type of service I would expect from Buca Di Beppo. The servers then disappeared again. The empty plates piled up on our table. The servers had not cleaned our table for the duration of the meal. Finally Breanne came back to ask if we wanted dessert. No one wanted dessert anymore because of the slow service so we just asked for the check. Overall I had a horrible experience at Buca Di Beppo and I will never return.
We split the checks on the night of our visit but here is the information from our check if you need it:

I love mexican food in the morning. I went to La Condesa Sunday morning to grab something quick to eat before work. It was very cold inside and I had to keep my coat on for the entire meal. The waitress greeted me with chips and fresh salsa. She took my drink order but I just wanted water. I looked over the menu and decided that I wanted the huevos rancheros. I placed my order and my food came out promptly. The huevos rancheros were delicious but the best part of la condesa is the home made tortillas. The homemade tortillas were delicious and made the meal excellent. I ate all of my huevos rancheros and the rice. (I asked for no beans because I hate all beans) I then proceeded to eat my friends steak as well which was also delicious. Overall the food is excellent. The homemade tortillas really make this mexican restaurant unique. I would recomend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys mexican food for breakfast but if you want pancakes or french toast this is not the place for you!!

This waitress was not as friendly as the waitress that usually serve me and I had never seen her before. I ordered the cream of brocoli soup with the chicken salad sandwhich. The waitress brought out the bread basket. I enjoy the freshly baked bread that is served during lunch at omega it is very good. Then the server brought out the food. My soup was delicious but the sandwhich was a bit sloppy. I finished my food and the waitress brough us a bag to put the rest of the bread in. Overall it was a good lunch and I would recomend omega.

Los Comales on 26th street in little village is one of my favorite restuarants because they serve great food, fast at a great price. Los Comales is a seat yourself restuarant, so I sat my self and was the greeted by the waitress. I did not need a menu because I already knew what I wanted. I ordered 2 barbacoa tacos ($1.45 each) and a michelada. They have the most delicious micheladas at comales. I was served my tacos about 10 minutes after I ordered them. They were delicious. I love their tacos. Then I paid for dinner and was on my way home. What a great fast meal! I would highly recommend Los Comales for a quick and cheap meal!

I went to sushi Taiyo for a quick sushi dinner. I had visited this restuarant several times because of its proximity to my apartment. I went in and found it odd that the hostess asked me if I had reservations when there were several tables open and no need for reservations. Then the hostess looked confused when I said no we do not have reservations and another hostess came and took over. I asked to be seated as far away from the door as possible because it was very cold. I ordered hot tea to start with because I wanted to warm up. I asked the waitress for sugar for my tea and she brought me two packets of sugar for the entire pot of tea. I love the chairs in this restaurant they are some of the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat in which makes it a very pleasent dining experience. The waitress unfortunately did not contribute to the pleasent dining experience. When I asked her what she would recommend from the menu she
obviously had no know knowledge of the menu and did not know what to recommend and told me to order what I like to eat. I ordered the Japanese Fried Rice ($11) which was very light but delicious. I ordered the oyshi maki signiture rolls ($12) these rolls were very good but very rich and I was full after eating them. My companion had to ask the waitress for chili sauce 4 times before she finally brought it. Then she was texted on her cell phone and would not bring us the check. Overall the atmosphere was good, a bit cold, good food but poor service.

I went to Joe's for my birthday. I was greeted by a friendly hostess who seated me immediately. The server was exceptional. I asked the server what he would recommend from the appetizer menu. The server recommended the oyster's rockefeller ($10.95 or 4 oysters) which was a delicious oyster cooked with spinach and cheese, it was very rich but delicious. For my entree I ordered the grilled jumbo lobster tail (market value). This was also an exceptional platter. I was very impressed by the server's knowledge of the menu. The server recommended a italian sweet white wine to go with the lobster tail. This was the best wine I have ever tasted in my entire life. Overall I would highly recommend Joe's to any seafood lovers.
